“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” —Matthew 5:6
I love you, My child! Stay hungry for Me, okay? It’s common for you to be so hungry for Me while in the midst of the difficult symptoms of your trials—and when I relieve you of many of those symptoms, you sometimes tend to be “full”; you’re not as hungry for Me. I’ve seen this in you the last couple days. And this is why I sometimes will allow some symptoms back in your life, as you’ve seen. To keep you hungry. To keep you seeking My righteousness. Ultimately, to keep you in My Presence. My child, what I like about you is that when I do allow these symptoms back in your life, you know almost instantly why. And immediately you come to Me in desperate and hungry prayer. You’re hungrily in My Word. This is what I desire from you all the time. Not just in times of need during a challenging trial. I want you to remember that without Me, you are broken. And you know that feeling of brokenness all too well—that only I could fix. But I get it. In your fallen world, when your “tummy is full” from My blessings—when you don’t feel as broken, even My children have a tendency to lose their desperate nature for Me, the Blesser. Hence, why trials. The desperate panting for more than My blessings—the desperate panting for Me! Stay hungry…and thirsty, My child! I love you!
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” —Psalm 42:1-2
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” —John 6:35
“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” —John 4:13-14
